Hearts of Hope, formerlly known as Stuller Place, houses three programs: Sexual Abuse Response Center (SARC), Children's Advocacy Center (CAC) and the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE). Our administration and staff carry out the distinct missions of these programs as one organization.
SARC provides a 24-hour crisis line, advocacy in local emergency rooms and crisis intervention counseling for children and adults. In addition, SARC has an active prevention education program that targets 2nd, 7th, and 9th graders in Acadiana area schools.
CAC provides a child-friendly environment where a forensic interview and mental health services for children ages 2-17 can be conducted when abuse allegations are investigated.
SANE provides a forensically trained nurse to conduct and document skillful forensic evidence collection with compassionate care when a patient makes a disclosure of sexual assault.
